Riding Instruction
Walnut Pond Farm (USHJA Trainer Certfied) is instructed by both Alexandra and Kara Listrani. Having grown up showing on the USEF "AA" rated circuit, both sisters have been working hard for years providing their clients with professional instruction, dedicated to the success of both horse and rider.
Alexandra Listrani:

Allie earned her BA from the Catholic University of America in Musician Communications Studies. As a trainer and a rider for WPF, Allie been competing on the "AA" circuit for the last 20 years. The United States Hunter Jumper Association recognizes her as a certified riding instructor. She completed their certification program and passed their requirement exam with flying colors. As a successful junior rider, she won many championships at highly recognized shows such as Devon, Harrisburg, and WIHS in the pony hunter, junior hunter, equitation, and junior jumper divisions. As an amateur rider, she had also won numerous championships including 1996 winner of the Marshall & Sterling Adult Armature Hunter finals and 2001 winner of the WIHS Adult Hunter Championships. Now, as a professional, Allie spends her time riding/training young investment horses, competing in her respective professional divisions, and training clients at home or at shows on the "AA" circuit.
Kara Listrani:
Kara Listrani graduated from George Washington University with a degree in Early Childhood Education. She has been apart of the horse world since the age of seven, and rode competitively until the age of
sixteen at Rolling Acres Farm under the guidance of Patti Foster. Her equestrian acheivments include her title as Zone Champion in the Children's Hunters and numerous qualifications for the Gittings Finals. Kara rode her horse, Pay the Fiddler, to immense success at the rated level.
Kara has instructed at Meadowbrook Stables, Columbia Horse Center, and currently teaches at her family farm, Walnut Pond Farm. Kara's riders compete in the Howard County Horse Show Association and have earned numerous titles as Champion and Reserve Champion in their respective divisions over the years.
Kara trains children of all ages as well as adults. She ensures that her riders receive her constant patience and attention and recognizes that every rider is different.
