Walnut Pond Farm is home to two instructors - Kara and Alexandra (Allie) Listrani. Their collective goal is simple: inspire and teach all riders to enjoy the sport of Hunter/Jumper riding. Riders young and old, from beginner to advanced, will find patience, understanding and an unerring committment to success as the key philosophies of these accomplished instructors.
Allie, who has been competing in the AA circuit for over 20 years, is a certified USHJA instructor. She is skilled at training both riders and horses as well as preparing young investment horses for her clients. her history of riding is a long successful one. As a junior rider, she won WIHS in the Pony Hunter, Junior Hunter, Equitation, and Junior Jumper divisions. Once an amateur rider her success continued with championships at the Marshall & Sterling Adult Amateur Hunter Finals and WIHS Adult Hunter Championships.
Now a professional, Allie Spends her time riding anf training investment horses, nurturing her clients' riding skills at home or on the road, and competing in the AA Circuit. Allie and her students travel all over from Vermont in the summer to Florida in the winter.
Holding down the fort at home, you will find Kara. She runs the stable and lesson program and travels the local show circuit with her students. Kara has brought up countless riders in the stirrups from leadline, to short stirrup, to childrens and beyond. Riders grow and learn and eventually go off to college but they always come home.
